Overall the hotel was good. Not a lot of other selections in Oyen. Check in staff was SUPER friendly and helpful upon arrival. Room appeared to be clean and nothing stood out. There was a couple stains on the carpet but all appeared to be clean and in working order. Breakfast was good and there were a number of different options, which all appeared and tasted good. I would stay here again. Little on the pricey side for what you got, but there were no other real other options availible.
Everything was great. BUT there is one change you could make and that would be the check-in time. I stayed there because I was attending a wedding a little distance away. I had driven 2 hours to get to Oyen and the wedding was at 3 same time as check-in (would have been nice to have been able to check-in and change in dressy clothes before attending wedding). So after the exchange of vows I had to drive back to Oyen to check-in and go to where the supper and dance was being held which made me miss out on some of the festivities and visiting. So the check-in time I feel that you could improve on.
Nice clean place but pretty high rates. Hot breakfast was very small but good and the kids loved it. There was a lot of mold in the shower but the rest of the room was very clean. Very easy to get too because it's right off the highway. Lots of parking.
I came in with my kids after driving all day from BC heading to Saskatchewan and too tired to drive anymore and the staff were absolutely amazing. The staff went above and beyond to help us out. The A&W was closed so they loaded my kids down with food to eat and gave me milk for baby bottles. Also supplied me with a crib for the baby. Our room was immaculate and beds were very comfortable. Also the continental breakfast was awesome. They sure made sure my kids and I were looked after. The manager came outside to greet me good morning as I loaded my van. They also gave my kids coloring books, crayons, sunglasses, and water bottles. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again. I would give this place a 10 if I could.
The manager is fantastic and went above and beyond. Unfortunately I think there is a member of the cleaning staff, or two, that dont care about their jobs. Many inconsistencies that were rectified after talking to the manager at least. Bottom floor rooms have inside and outside access which is great. Breakfast is okay, and has a good selection, but i found it to be undercooked.Right next to a co-op gas bar and an a and w. Over all quite decent.
